FACT: Nearly half of all asylum seekers to Britain are from Iraq, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia - countries recently carpet-bombed by US and British forces.
And with the latest Blair/Bush war on Iraq these numbers will rise.

FACT: Britain receives FEWER asylum applications per head of population than seven other EU countries.

FACT: We reject nine out of 10 asylum applications (although two in lO are granted temporary residence) - compared to only four out of 10 in Canada, the US and Australia.

FACT: As one of the world's wealthiest countries, Britain receives just half a per cent of the world's refugees and asylum seekers - while the US takes six times as many and Iran 34 times.

FACT: The Home Office study Migrants in the UK (2002) shows that immigrants contribute £2.5 billions more to the economy in production, tax and National Insurance contributions than they receive in wages and benefits.

FACT: At the current rate of approvals, refugees and their descendants would take another FOUR THOUSAND YEARS to become a majority of the population in Britain. Of course, they wouldn't flee their home countries if the world's major powers stopped bombing them, plundering their finances and resources, putting corrupt regimes into power and then selling their rulers arms at a huge profit.

Who are the real enemies within?

Sick of traffic jams, hospital queues, rising prices, cancelled trains, crumbling council estates, low-paid jobs, disappearing pensions, the threat of redundancy?

The tabloid papers and New Labour have the answer - get worked up about asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants. They are the main problem they claim. The convicted thugs and Hitler-worshippers of the BNP (British Nazi Party) then hope to turn the hostility into a race war.

So white people are turned against black - white workers against black workers, white pensioners against black pensioners, white youth against black youth.

BUT WHO ARE THE REAL ENEMIES?

• Who is responsible for low wages, factory closures and redundancies?
• Who benefits from the privatisation of our industries and services?
• Who pockets the huge subsidies paid to the railways,the coal industry, nuclear power and the arms industry?
• Who's robbing workers' pension funds?
• Who's responsible for soaring house prices and rents?

Big business, big shareholders, big landlords and their hired politicians. The same millionaires who own the Sun, Express and Daily Mail which pump out the lies about asylum seekers and refugees.

Britain is one of the wealthiest countries in the world - we could afford top-class public services, generous pensions, higher wages and decent benefits for all.

They intend to keep it that way. And how can they deny more than half our people a real share of the wealth we create

... by divide and rule.
