Devastating Cuts

"The cuts will have a devastating impact on the people of Glasgow who are already suffering the effects of economic crisis and many of those who have not even recovered from the last recession  the ruling class has inflicted on us. Thousands of local government employees will find their jobs under threat, their conditions attacked and their wages cut in real terms."

"The full extent of the cuts on a national scale has still to be revealed, but we can expect reductions of 20 per cent over the next ten years. Schools, hopsitals and social services, all already weakened by years of underfunding and privatisation, will be ferociously attacked,  and if the Tories get in they are likely to use the crisis as an opportuinity to abolish the welfare state once and for all.
