Scottish Communists

Edinburgh comrades had a well earned rest from their weekly Princes Street stall but Communist Party members were out elsewhere. In Kilmarnock 5 comrades were selling the Morning Star and leafletting for the STUC demonstration against the cuts which is being held in Glasgow this coming Saturday. Dundee also had 5 comrades out who, helped by loud hailer work sold out of Morning Stars after a hour. This was followed by a meeting on the political situation which was also attended by a couple of leading Dundee trade unionists where plans were laid for regular Dundee Communist meetings. Glasgow Communists ranks were somewhat depleted as a number of regulars were in London attending the Communist Party's trade union school however the Buchanan street stall went ahead as usual.
