About Us
The Communist Party of Britain carries forward the programme and objectives of the Communist Party as founded in 1920.
Its aim is a "socialist Britain in which the means of production, distribution and exchange will be socially owned and used in a planned way for the benefit of all".
Scottish Communists is the website for the Communist Party Scottish Committee. You can also visit our national Communist Party of Britain website.
The Scottish Committee is responsible for developing policy specific to Scotland. It campaigns in Scotland for the wider objectives of the party as set out in its programme Britain’s Road to Socialism. Our party calls for greater powers of economic and industrial intervention for the Scottish parliament as a way of strengthening the hand of working people across Britain. A current statement of this position can be found in Breaking the British State: the way forward to a Socialist Scotland.
